Dr Steven Bongard, DDS

Dr Steven Bongard obtained his DDS degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1986. His professional interest has been concentrated on all aspects of implant dentistry since 1995. He has extensive experience in implant placement, bone grafting procedures as well as the prosthetic component of implant restoration. He has published and lectured both nationally and internationally on implant placement, full arch rehabilitation and non-grafted immediate approaches to implant surgery. He presently maintains a dental practice in Toronto, Ontario that is exclusive to the placement and restoration of dental implants. His recent focus has been on developing a community resource and training centre that can provide access to innovation, technology and advanced infrastructure, as well as support and mentoring, to the dental implant community. 

Michael Glogauer 

Dr. Michael Glogauer is a dental entrepreneur, clinician and scientist. In addition to holding patents for health devices and an being inventor of a soon-to-be-marketed diagnostic rinse for periodontal diseases, he has been an active member of scientific boards of start up companies.

He is a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto where his research over the past 25 years focuses on the mechanistic contributions and interplay between the immune system and microbiome in oral and systemic health.

He is the Head of Dentistry for University Health Network and Chief of Dental Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He has received awards in recognition of his research excellence (more than 200 peer reviewed publications) and is a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.

He is experienced in conducting clinical trials, particularly in collaboration with multi-national pharma companies.

David Chong Yen 

David has been advising dentists on tax, estate, financial planning, practice management, valuations and accounting for more than 35 years. His primary focus is to help dentists and their families achieve their financial and personal goals.

David obtained his B. A. from University of Toronto in 1980, attained his Chartered Accountant’s Designation in 1983, subsequently completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Courses, is a tax specialist and also a certified financial planner.

David has been a speaker at various dental schools, associations across Ontario, including the ODA Annual Spring Meeting, Toronto Academy of Dentistry Winter Clinic and RCDSO Road Shows. He has published hundreds of tax articles for the dental community, including those that have appeared in Dental Practice Management, Dispatch, Oral Health and Ontario Dentist publications. David also wrote the ODA published book titled, “Dentists Tax and Financial Guide”.
